Dear Ambassador Patterson,
I was born twice; once in Egypt
in 1938 and again in 1962 in the United States, where I received my graduate
education and opened my eyes to the values of freedom and “American” democracy.
I cannot believe the role America – the land of the free and the home of the
brave – is playing in Egypt today!
It is not true what you stated
that elected President Morsy cannot be removed from office except through the
ballot box. Morsy - and any President - is elected to Office by the ballot box,
but is impeachable on violation of his Oath of Office, the Constitution and the
Laws of the land and for conduct unbecoming of his Office; Mr. Morsy shamelessly
committed all four offenses and can - and should - be impeached. We should ask
both Mr. Nixon and Mr. Clinton; they have the experience.
